The Flavors of Barcelona

We enjoyed a brief but memorable visit to Barcelona during the second leg of our 10th-anniversary trip to Spain. After returning from the more relaxed atmosphere of Mallorca, it was a nice transition to experience bustling city life again. We had the pleasure of staying at the Almanac Barcelona, a stylish hotel situated in a convenient central location.

We made reservations for lunch at the Michelin-starred restaurant SLOW&LOW, where we planned to try their affordably priced 5-course menu. However, once we saw the minimal price difference, we decided to upgrade to the larger 12-course option. Each dish was meticulously crafted and visually stunning, and the flavors were incredibly bold and impactful.

It was a special experience to see La Sagrada Familia in a more completed state, with an interesting contrast between the old and new sides.

We traveled by bus to La Roca Village, a well-known outlet shopping center right outside of Barcelona. Although it was smaller than the Woodbury Commons in New York, it offered a variety of brands that I love, such as Loewe, Prada, and Moncler. The prices were more favorable due to the European pricing and the tax refund offered. Upon returning, we had a refreshing drink at El Jardi and enjoyed their outdoor garden's live music and atmosphere.

Our final lunch was at Compartir Barcelona, where seafood was the specialty. Every bite we took was absolutely delicious.
